Department of B.A. Programme is an interdisciplinary Department offering the undergraduate students to study from six combinations of different disciplines. Subjects such as Economics, English, Political Science, Hindi and History are combined in a manner that an undergraduate student has an array of choices to pursue the Course. Students are exposed to a wide range of subjects, which helps them develop a diverse skill set and a holistic approach to problem-solving. The Department believes in the all-round development of every student. And hence, organizes workshops, seminars, awareness programme besides providing ample opportunities to develop talents of students through extra-curricular activities like through participating in the UDGAM Society.

The National Education Policy (NEP) of India states that the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme will be four years long, divided into eight semesters, with two semesters per year. Students will need 160-176 credits for a four-year degree with honors or research. The program allows students to choose between a 3-year UG degree or a 4-year "Honours" degree. The 4-year program includes: A research project, Research methodology, and Research work. The undergraduate degree under NEP will be a multi-disciplinary program with multiple exit and entry options. The NEP also offers flexible education options such as a 3-Year vs 4-Year Bachelor's Degree, 1-year Master's Course, Exit Option and Multidisciplinary Education.
The curricular component of "community engagement and service" will involve activities that would expose students to the socio-economic issues in society so that the theoretical learnings can be supplemented by actual life experiences to generate solutions to real-life problems.
