About the Department

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi. The department was established in the year 1966. Department has highly qualified and dedicated teachers. It teaches mathematics papers in B.Sc. Physical Sciences course. Apart from regular classes, teachers are always there to guide students for the future aspects they could have after finishing the college. The department organizes its annual festival GANITA and gives platform to students to show their talent. Department has taught a batch of Mathematics (H) with the introduction of Four Year Undergraduate Programme in 2013. Students have shown their excellence under the guidance of the teachers of the Department and we are again given the opportunity by the University to introduce the Mathematics (H) course and to cater a large number of students with the desire of becoming a great mathematician.
