Brief Profile

Dr. Jitender Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi. He did his graduation from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi and post-graduation from C.C.S. University. Along with this, he did also qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Economics from University Grants Commission (UGC). He did his Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of Economics, Jamia Millia Islamia, (A Central University), New Delhi. His academic interests cover across economics courses such as Macro Economics Theory, Economics Growth and Development. He also has experience of teaching in other colleges of Delhi University and membership of some organizations related to research. He has submitted the innovation project on the topic of Old Age Homes in Delhi: Understanding the Challenges faced by them and their Contribution to the Society to University of Delhi under the mentorship Prof. Surender Kumar from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He has participated as an external exam expert in academic activities to Indraprastha University, New Delhi. He is interested in extracurricular activities such as Gardening and NCC. He has to his credit of around ten years of teaching experience and four years of research experience. Apart from teaching and research experience, he is also interested in social and national activities related to the countrywide interest. His research interests cover across Money, Credit and Banking, Development Economics, Demographic Economics and Agricultural Economics. He has presented and published many research papers in the area of interest at National and International levels which includes Empirical Analysis of Money and Credit Market System.
