Theme: “Amrit Kaal to Viksit Bharat: Proactive Governance, Resilient Entrepreneurship and Geopolitical Realignment for ‘Goldilocks’ Economy”

India is living through a rare, defining moment- one where aspiration is no longer enough, and the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 demands timely, collective action. In a world marked by geopolitical turbulence, disruptive technologies, climate anxieties, and economic rebalancing, the choices we make today will decide what India becomes tomorrow. With this backdrop, the proposed two-day International Conference, “Amrit Kaal to Viksit Bharat: Proactive Governance, Resilient Entrepreneurship and Geopolitical Realignment for Goldilocks’ Economy” organised by the Department of Commerce, Shyam Lal College (University of Delhi) in collaboration with IQAC, seeks to create a scholarly and an inclusive platform for dialogue, ideas, and solutions.

At its core, the Conference is about India’s greatest strength- its youth. With energy, imagination, and an urge to build, young Indians are already shaping startups, public policy innovation, digital futures, and community resilience. Yet ambition must be matched with institutions that work, education that empowers (NEP 2020), skills that translate into livelihoods, and ethical systems that protect trust in markets and governance. The Conference will therefore connect big national goals with lived realities: jobs and entrepreneurship, sustainability and the green transition, AI/data/cyber futures, fraud prevention and financial integrity, media narratives, and the global reach of Indian Knowledge Systems. Bringing together scholars, policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and students, the Conference would promote interdisciplinary research, actionable policy recommendations, and partnerships that extend beyond the event. Funding support will directly strengthen participation of young researchers, enable wider inclusion, support high-quality dissemination, and help translate research into practical insights for institutions and society.

This Conference is not only an academic gathering; it is planned to be a timely intellectual effort to turn hope into capacity, and capacity into outcomes, so that Viksit Bharat becomes a shared, achievable future.
