ABOUT THE COLLEGE

SLC, a co-educational constituent college of the University of Delhi, was established in 1964. The foundation stone of the College was laid down by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Hon'ble Vice President of India. SLC being the oldest and pioneer college in East Delhi has celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2014. College is a nodal point in east Delhi campus for managing important activities and events of government agencies (police, army) including University of Delhi. The College is rapidly emerging as a prominent educational institution of the University. The endeavor of the College has always been to make higher education more enjoyable, job oriented, meaningful and practical, and at the same time more adaptable to the ever changing demands of our society.

ABOUT IQAC

As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution's system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.
