Having pursued her Bachelors and Masters degree from Ramjas College, University of Delhi, Ms. Deka is currently pursuing her PhD on Dystopian fiction from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. Her research interests lie in the field of Dystopian Writings, Memory Studies, 18th century British Literature, Gender Studies and Dalit Literature with a special interest on Detective Literature. She has a number of publications to her credit with the most recent being her edited book titled Dalit Feminist Discourse: Voices in Dalit Narratives published by Aakar Books in 2024. She has also been invited to deliver talks, chair academic sessions in conferences and has presented papers at many national and international forums. Considering her expertise in Public Speaking in English Language and Leadership, Ms. Deka has been invited by many colleges and universities like Maitreyi College, P.G.D.A.V College (M), Jamia Hamdard University as an External Examiner to conduct practical examinations. She has also contributed as a Course Writer on select Partition Poems for Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur, Odisha. She has handled Privacy cases related to Examination branch of University of Delhi and is also a member of Paper-Setting Board, University of Delhi.
